well i think drinking a gallon might be excessive for growth at this point. definetly drink milk, its a healthy thing to do. but drinking a gallon a day will not have that much of an effect on the length as much as it will the strength. eating healthy and getting plenty of rest will help, but its not going to make the difference in you being 5'5 and 5'10.

There's nothing wrong with drinking a lot of milk (if you are not at risk or have any health problems) but consuming a gallon IMO is over the top. There is no benefit in drinking whole milk. The extra calories and fat can be avoided by drinking skim milk. On a side note, drinking a gallon of milk a day will not get you any taller. Try to eat a balanced diet and lead a healthy lifestyle (excercise, sleep, etc..,) to maximize your genetic growth potential.

When I was your age I did the same thing. I am certain there are all kinds of people who will tell you this is bad, but when I was doing this it seemed to me that this was what my body needed most. I was active and didn't gain weight, but I didn't grow taller either. My growth spurt ended at 15 but all through high school I continued the gallon a day habit. I think it is most important for "building and maintaining strong bones." (Old commercial line.) I believe that is true. I think you will be fine just as long as you are getting plenty of exercise. Also, try to stick with low fat milk. It took a bit of getting used to, but I found that for me 2% was best.

No, it isnt healthy to consume that much milk everyday. Milk infact has calcium and good vitimans and minerals in it but too much of anything is never good.

I don't think that anything will help you grow any taller if you are 15. You still have a couple more years of growing. Maybe an inch or so. Just take a daily vitiman that shoud be plenty enough.

Milk really packs on the pounds. So if you want to grow wide rather than up...
Maybe 3 or 4 glasses a day would be enough.
Just eat healthy, avoid processed foods, white sugar, white flour, eat whole grain, preferably sprouted wheat, lots of fruits, veggies, and don't forget to drink plenty of water. (8 - 8oz glasses a day)
If you want to know about how tall you'll be, ask your mom to look in your baby book and ask her how tall you were when you were 2 1/2 years old. Double that number and that'll tell you about how tall you'll get.
Good luck!

No, you should only be getting three servings of dairy daily and should have plenty of calcium then. There are healthier ways to get calories, and fiber filled foods should be more effective in filling you up. It will NOT help you grow taller, and can be detrimental to your health to consume so many liquid calories from one source. Eating a balanced diet and exercising will maintain your health so that your body can grow, but genetics is the main factor when it comes to your height. Just try to be comfortable in the skin your in and take care of yourself.

drinking more milk isn't going to make you grow taller, why would you even think that? milk does not override what is programed in your DNA.

at 1 gallon a day you will certainly be growing wider soon. might want to buy some more sweat pants..lol

a gallon of milk daily seems like it might have harmful potential... however, as long as you're not drinking it all at once or forcing yourself past "the point" (you know that feeling.) i see no problem in it; excluding, of course, the fact that milk prices are increasing.
