Charleton Heston has delivered these powerful, convicting words every year since 1956. We watched it again last night!

When moses came down from the mountain, he found the people had sank to a new low. Commiting all kinds reveling, drunkenness, and sexual perversions.
"Who is on the Lord's side?" It's a question that's STILL relevant today. Aren't you glad YOU'RE on His side?

Joe,
YOU tell THAT to Moses. I intend on answering.

Spoken4,
So true,
To escape the edict of Egypt's Pharoah, Rameses I, condemning all first-born Hebrew males, the infant Moses is set adrift on the Nile in a reed basket. Saved by the pharaoh's daughter Bithiah, he is adopted by her and brought up in the court of her brother, Pharaoh Seti.
Great story.

Ain't it the truth? Ain't it the trutth?

irfoster,
Moses gains Seti's favor and the love of the throne princess Nefertiri, as well as the hatred of Seti's son, Rameses. When his Hebrew heritage is revealed, Moses is cast out of Egypt, and makes his way across the desert where he marries, has a son and is commanded by God to return to Egypt to free the Hebrews from slavery.
But God's not done with him - is He?

arikinder,
Great!
Moses leads the slaves from the tyranny of the Egyptian pharaoh and into the desert where he is later given the law of God.

Tony, Abe was a pretty wise man.
Which would you have confidence in? The wisdom of Abe Lincoln or those here that are against God?

"If God be for us, who can be against us?" Jesus said in Revelation 3:15+16 that some of us are cold, some hot and some lukewarm in our faith. That it is better to be cold or hot than to be lukewarm where the person is unwilling to take a stand for their faith. That lukewarmness nauseates Jesus. It's like straddling the fence, unwillling to make a choice on who will master your life, Jesus or satan. The cold side of the fence - satan is master. The hot side, - Jesus is master and the fence straddler has 1 foot in the world and 1 foot in the Word. I'm on the side where Jesus rules and reigns in my heart forever and Amen!!

Yes. I want to be a worthy disciple of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We should Pray for one another to be found doing God will. Holding each other up is Prayer is very necessary from my point of view.

1 Corinthians 12:25 - That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

James 5:16 - Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Charlton Heston is not using the bible verses when he is delivering speeches or when he is preaching. He should state the verse when ever he will say something about his topic.

You may say that he has the power to convince in his way of speaking but the powers in him is not within the context of the bible.

Yes, I am and thank you for asking! Praise God!
It is a relevant question. But a remake of the movie would be great anyway. Just for the sake of reaching a new audience. Not many people these days know who Charleton Heston is. They need someone that they can recognize in order to get them to pay attention to the film.
No paris, not you honey!

no one is truly on the lords side, its by his grace that he excepts u. Romans 3:11-18. no one does good, NO NOT ONE. Its like hes talking to a class and yelling at them. U should seek his face to truly be on his side, and become perfect and pure through understanding of his righteousness. This way u can say I love the cross. In stead of saying thanks for the cross and keep sinning.

It's this kind of "us vs. them" mentality that has spawned religious fundamentalism that caused the events of September 11th.

It's this kind of mentality that has spawned an imaginary "culture war" that is nothing more than an attack on civil rights.

If your "Lord" is so feeble that he needs minions and peons to do his dirty work, he can't be that hard to take down.

I, for one, refuse to join your vindictive Hebrew war-god's team. I'll stick with reality, thanks.

Jesus said, "If you do not forgive others, your father in Heaven will not forgive you."

That is one of the clearest verses in the Bible.
