I am aware of Bart.
I've always looked outside my Church for alot of answers.
My church didn't cause me to love the Lord, the Lord himself did that.
blessings :)

Constantly. I am always reading and exploring the realms of knowledge. My mind is alway open. I have found that all things that are solidly documented fact always point to God. The world, God's Creation, is a wonderous place with unfathomable complexity which I want to know more about. I don't engage in contentious debates about Evolution and Creation, because I don't see the point of becoming dogmatic and have seen poor logic and bad science on both sides of the issue. I have never read Bart Ehrman perhaps I will look him up soon.

Yes of course we have tested our faith which will never end b because our faith is our faith.
Bart Ehrman, a historian at that is not a prophet but historian. His words are maybe true and maybe wrong. You know, he gathered his teachings also from his research from many books where he could gain knowledge or information, then wrote it on his book and is now being used for his teachings. We could not ascertain whether his teachings now are true or not and it remains to be a puzzle.

Yes, I have. I remain faithful to my belief in the Bible's word as the infallible truth inspired by God and belief that Jesus is the messiah and savior, son of God who is God, Word made into flesh.
My experience, might I add, was not easy either. It caused much stress and much analytical thinking. It required deep trusting in the Lord to guide me to what was truth. I do not suggest that someone who is not firm in their belief and faith to attempt this with out fully having a deep solid understanding of the Bible. Satan will take the opportunity to try and trick you and make you walk off your path.
Having said that, my faith and belief stands firm and strong, Amen Praise be to my Lord Jesus on this most wonderful day as we celebrate his resurrection!
Also, might I add, this was not a deliberate testing of my faith to myself. It is simply something I encountered which I feel has tested my faith.

My life and all the experiences therein are tests of my faith...and though this life I have found none other to be true other than Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. I care not what any "man" says..all I can go by is my own personal experiences with God and I can tell you that He has NEVER failed me, nor will He ever.

Yep, being a former Atheist I question it. Seek answers and learn. Of course I am still going to hell according to some because I don't go to church... and because I question and seek answers.... I also have an open mind and welcome those who are knowledgeable in their beliefs or lack of, to tell me about it and actually listen and take in some of their point of view! Yeah ... I will be burning in hell for having a mind of my own. =/

Having gone through the 'born again' experience, that pretty much did it for me. I feel no need to test my faith,....but God does. And I'm still here.
