If you're just having problems relaxing during the day, and it sounds like you don't really want to try meds. There are quite a few natural sedatives that you can try. Chamomile tea works very well, as does hops, passionflower and believe it or not: catnip.

I wouldn't suggest taking them all at the same time, because that's a lot of tea to drink, and I have a tea that has all of those ingredients and it's called "Sleepy-time tea"

Another good way to deal with stress is to just turn of the lights, sit down, close your eyes and recharge for just 5 minutes. You'll be surprised at how much better you feel.

Stress is a word I frequently hear today. You need to sit
quietly, take a deep breath and figure out what is causing your stress. If you cannot handle your stress you need to
see a professional on how to cope! You didn't mention
the cause of your stress. The second thing you need to do
is count your blessings for the good in your life and does
the good stuff outweigh the bad. I can't imagine a person
fully relaxed who is dealing with stress. Stress does some
serious damage to the body if not controlled. You need to
relate to family and friends and put your mind in a good, and
happy place even if it's just by visualization. If it's a work related stress, it's time for a new job. Good Luck!

It has a lot to do with how you think. For example; do you think you have to say yes to everyone who wants something? That creates stress and limits your ability to be true to yourself and set boundries.

Trying to do too much, going into debt, not making well thought out decisions, people pleasing, working too much, etc., all create stress and can be dealt with by being aware and changing them.

Also, some helpful things you can do at home to destress; nice relaxing bath with lavender oil, time before bed with no computer, phone, T.V. or anything else that takes energy and creates stress.

Evaluate your life by making a list of what you think makes the most stress, then begin to take action starting with the top of the list and work your way down. That's taking control of your life and you will feel less stress by doing so. Good luck!

In your car or at home if you are alone or outside if possible take a deep breath and then yell as loud and long as you can. This really helps me
also take several deep breaths through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Close your eyes and recall a pleasant happy place. Count to ten
cry,
take a bath
go for a drive
have a drink ( just one do not over do)
talk to a friend
take a walk
do whatever you need to do and have no guilt about it

if i were u, i would try to explore myself, try something new, bungee jumping for example, and find some new hobbies, so that u could have fun doing it and meet some new people at the same time. else, u could do something a lil bit extreme so that it produce endorphine substance which could make u happier than before, btw u could also get this substance by eating chocolates. good luck :)
