i just bought a new camera. it works fine. i hooked it up to my computer using the cord that came with it to transfer my pictures on to my computer, it worked. now it doesnt. the cord is in tact, the camera is in tact and so is my computer. yet nothing is working. it is using my printer as the device hooked up to transfer my pictures.
you can use the printer to scan the pictures onto the computer by putting the SD memory card into it. i did that, it didnt work at all.

It sounds like "cockpit" trouble or software problem. You may have to re-boot to get the problem fixed. Your camera should have no problem coupling to your computer via a usb port and cable. You then have to have the proper software to capture the pictures (I use ACDsee), and don't know what OS you are running so no more help there. Your printer should not just come on and try to access your camera unless you have some how told it to. I don't like to hook any of my dig. cammeras directly to the computer for several reasons and so I use a card reader for that.

only things I can think of is the sd card in the camera and has pics and batteries in the camera for the cable. It also could be a driver issue (update driver perhaps?) sorry but thats all I can think of. Unles steh sd card is bad (they do go bad especially after a bad format)
