Ham sold in the US is "already cooked." Read the label. Ham is nothing more than pork that has been slow smoked in a warm smokehouse. All you need to do is warm it up - about 5 minutes per side under a low heat on the stove top..
Here's another useful tip - use your eyes and nose closely on bologna and hot dogs - they're basically the same stuff - yet you eat bologna "raw" - not really, it's the same stuff as hot dogs and it's already cooked when you buy it, as are hot dogs.

Precooked ham doesn't take too long to fry up. Just a few minutes per side. Just enough to heat it thru.

About 3-4 min per side. Add a bit of water, cover w/ a lid, and it will heat up faster.

No more than three minutes per side. Since it has already been smoked, you can consider it "pre-cooked" and not be concerned about trichinosis.

If it was smoked then it was cooked it the smoker and you can just brown it on either side until golden just to warm it up.

Don't fry it because that's ridiculously unhealthy. Try baking, broiling, steaming, etc.
