I've been thinking about how in Beatle Juice there's a wedding ceremony for dead people. It reminds me of the Mormon belief of sealing dead couples together for eternity. They do it for live people but they also do it for people who are already dead.
It's funny how I see a parrell between that movie and Mormonism.

Now that you mention it, you've got a pretty convincing point. I see it too.

No, you have it all wrong. The people we marry in our our temples (by proxy) who are dead were already married here on Earth . The authority by which they were married only allowed them to be married til death do they part. The authority of the Melchizedek Priesthood allows for these people to married for all eternity.
In the movie the people were not married before death, and the marriage was not taking place under the proper authority.
So you see, no parallel at all once you know how it works.
this subject is way deeper than I care to go into here. Ask more questions if you are truly interested in understanding more of of teachings and practices.

Melissa, I see a parallel between willful ignorance and irreverence on your part. Yet I will choose to remain ignorant at watching "Beatle Juice." It seems to have lost its enchantment in the very title it carries.

Mostly the couple was so clean cut and wholesome, that would remind me of mormons...

But, you are correct, they do baptisms, confirmations, and sealing of marriages and families for the dead.

You dn't know anything about what Mormons believe, and you obviously don't know what happened in Beetlejuice. And it's just sick to think that there is any sort of similarities in the two.
