its such a shame that people some people have no faith at all. An answer given to the Q earlier was,Where was He when there is so much hate and killing in the world. To which I reply, God has given us ALL free will. He does not interfere with our freewill. He expects us to do what the Bible has commanded us to do. For the atheists and the others, I would be willing to bet that your lack of faith stems from something horrible that has happened to you. God doesnt want to be your enemy, He wants to be your source of strength.

Heather,
You are correct in your thinking but what are you saying that will cause such people to want to listen to GOD? You are not attempting to teach and bring those people toward GOD but to further push them from HIM. I believe that our FATHER wants us to teach HIS Principals to each and every person. PLease do not be so harsh as to push people from listening. They get/got enough of that from their "parents and friends". I am a Christian and I believe that we should all read and study Matthew 28:18-21 and attempt to follow it's commands as it is probably the last thing that Christ spoke to HIS Disciples. Have a great day and a wonderful week.
Thanks,
EDs

I am available to study with anyone who is ever interested. I do not believe that I have all of the an swers but I do believe that together we can read, study, and obey GOD's WORD the BIBLE. Thank you my friends!!

Which GOD will I be kneeling before? The human race has had so many gods through the ages, all claiming to be be our savior. How do you know that yours is the one true god? All will say something similar to your answer on that. Is all the religions wrong except yours? Sorry that I have thought for myself and haven't just believed what I hear from an imperfect species that we are, especially those from thousands of years ago. When God himself shows me he exists and that all I have questioned has an answer then and only then will I bow. You may have the need for some spiritual guidance or the need to feel that your not along or whatever guided you to it,but some have a problem with just having faith that God exists because of a book, being forced as a child to take it in,or because a group of people say your sinning and will burn in hell cause you haven't found Jesus. Why do I have to find him,if he is almighty as said then why is it that a genuinely good person is left with all these questions? Why hasn't he found me?Too many loop holes in the teachings for me to just blindly say:your right///Every answer in religion has more questions, and that's why faith for me is not enough. It's hard to have faith in something you can't see, smell, touch,or hear. I have an open mind and would gladly believe in God,when HE undeniably shows me that he exists.

WHAT IF your wrong what if the bible is wrong no disrespect but just look at all the christian priests who have ruined peoples lives by sexually abusing them and the early christians are responsable for millions of deaths so when i bow it wont be to give god a ******** and as for free will no one has free will its an illusion and my excuse for not believing in jesus is because in that name millions have died it seems to me that if you really want a peaceful life youll stay well away from jesus and his minions

The problem with this is, there are many, many different versions of that higher power, depending on which religion you belong to. To quote Homer Simpson, "What if we picked the wrong religion? Every Sunday we're just making God madder and madder." Everyone has to be the judge of what is right and just within his/her own heart. If that turns out to be following the path of Jesus, Allah, Buddha, reason, or whatever else, fine. The fact that you deeply examine your beliefs and actively strive to do what is right is the important thing.

If there is a higher power, it created us with the ability to think and reason, not merely to obey. As such, if it created us to think and reason, it must have been ready to allow for the fact that reason does not support its existence, and give its creations credit for being intelligent and rational. If such a being created me merely to worship it, then I have no qualms about not caring - because it shouldn't need anyone to worship it in order to exist, and needing to shows an extreme insecurity and selfishness on its part. And if it's that callous, it's not a loving being and is not worthy of my respect or my love, or, for that matter, my obedience. That will be my defense, in the extremely unlikely event that it should become necessary.

Oh, and in NO event will my knee EVER bow. Count on it.

So we should believe just in case?
I stand by the knowledge that I've gathered through life and by using the brain my parents gave me.
To stand strong without belief...to take that 'risk' and live life using my abilities as best I can....surely no god can think that is bad!
And....I bow to no god!...well it's easy to say because...there is no god.
I do not want to live my life under threat and with constant guilt.

why do you assume that people who do not believe in a higher power have lived a live that needs excusing? I'm not sure what I believe, and most of the time it is that there is no God, but when I die, should I be proved wrong, I will make a sincere apology for my doubts but that will be the only thing I will have to apologise for. I am a good, moral and caring person. If God is there to meet me when I die, I'm quite confident he will embrace me and welcome me into heaven.

I would have some questions like what he was doing up here when all this hate and killing is going on down on earth people killing each other in his name

Also if he wanted us to line up like good little children he shouldn't have given humans freedome of choice...

I'm ok. I don't believe in fairy stories so I've no one to answer to but myself.

I'm more worried about you religious types with your various gods...what are you going to say to Allah when he asks why you've been worshipping Jehovah by mistake?
