The easiest way is to gently crack the egg and break apart over a bowl--but don't let all the contents of the egg fall into the bowl. You have a half in each hand. One half will have the yolk, the other can be emptied into the bowl. Gently "juggle" the yolk back and forth between the halves, letting the white fall into the bowl, until the yolk is separated. After the first try you'll be a pro...it sounds harder than it is.

There are separator tools at the gadget stores. Have two cereal bowls ready, when you break the egg against the sharp edge of a bowl hang on to the parts in two hands over one bowl. This will allow the clear white of the egg to fall into it and the yolk will be in the other half of the broken shell. You volley the yolk gently back and forth over the whites bowl until all that is left is the yolk which you will drop into the yolk bowl.
There you have it, a do it yourself separated egg.

Start to crack the egg in half over a bowl as you would to completely open it, but don't pull the halves apart yet. Now hold it with one end acting as a cup to hold the yolk, and take off the top half of the shell and let the "white" leak down into the bowl. The half of the shell that is acting as a cup will hold the yolk while the white is leaking out, then you can put the yolk in another bowl.

Break it into your clean hands. The whites will fall thru your fingers, leaving the yolk intact. I usually just crack the egg in half, turn it upright, and remove the "lid" or top half. The white falls out, the yolk stays in teh bottom half of the shell. Transfer the yolk back adn forth between the 2 sheell halves until the white is all gone.
Don't crack the egg so hard you puncture the yolk, though. Even a speck of yolk in the whites will keep the whites from whipping correctly.

Use small bowls or glass ramikins. Crack the egg on the edge of something and allow the egg white to fall into a bowl. Put egg yolk in the other. Repeat. There are egg separaters, I have one, Tupperware used to give them as party gifts. It automatically because of its design separates the white from the yolk. good luck.

There is a special small gadget with a handle and it has where u can break the egg in it , and around the sides ,it has a big gap , that is the area where the egg white will come out , and the yoke stays in the small round section .

I would think the best way to separate the two without utensils would be to barely crack the egg shell, then let the egg white drip out of the egg. That's the ghetto way of life. LOL. Improvision.

Crack the egg and pour it in the fingers of one of your hands. The whites will fall through very easily leaving you with just the yolk.
