NOBODY expects the Spanish Happiness Inquisition!
Our chief weapon is love...love and harmony ......love and harmony.... Our two weapons are love and harmony...and ruthless intellect.... Our *three* weapons are love, harmony, and ruthless intellect... and an almost fanatical devotion to Eros.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as love, harmony.... I'll come in again.
With apologies to the Monty Python team.
No,. actually, I believe that happiness is nothing more complicated than a decision. No-one and nothing can bring you happiness, although we mostly spend our lives believing that the arrival in our lives of this or that will herald a new 'dawn'. It is the decision to 'Be' happy that changes how we view everything around us.
I know it sounds too simple, but think about it.
A person we love is, automatically 'beautiful', regardless how others ( even they themselves ) see them. The same goes for all the other factors.
That was the point of the 'Beauty and the Beast', it wasn't 'Beauty's' beauty that brought out the best in the 'Beast', it was her love, and his for her.

The only one that counts is love. And another you failed to mention, which is gratitude, no matter what your circumstances.
You can be happy despite the lack of any of the others. It is all a matter of perception.
You can be happy in the midst of war or disunity or conflict.
You can be happy if you don't have a high IQ or an education.
You can be happy if you are alone.
You can be happy if you are not physically attractive to others.
None of these situations are prerequisites to happiness. Only love for others (all others) and appreciation for what you have now are necessary.

Essentially I believe are the following three: a) love, b) intellect and d) harmony. But everyone that picked up love, should be granted 10 points.

Love, harmony and devotion out of your choices. I would say absence/fulfilment of desires; harmony with other human, animal, plant and mineral life; and the raising of consciousness to love all as one. And yes I do possess all five of yours.

Love can make people happy, but it can also cause disaster.
Intellect doesn't make you happy, in many cases it makes people miserable.
Devotion doesn't make you happy, its a product of being happy.
Beauty doesn't make you happy, it makes you guarded, envious, jealous and vain. Only when beheld as something not to be owned can beauty make you happy.
I do though, agree with harmony.
Contentness.
And maybe a little pleasure - in whatever guise.

The essence of happiness is the combination:
a) Love
d) Harmony
e) Beauty
No other thing in life is as enduring as the three above.
