I've seen it before. A couple attracted to each other. One is a christian and the other is not and has no clue about it. It never fails, they start out so well but then, they're differences in Faith ware them out and they eventually have problems unless one of them converts. The sad part is, when it is the woman who is a christian and the guy is a non believer in Christ, it usually ends up with her suffering the set back. You can always bring some on down but they can't get you up to their level. So, what exactly are the MAJOR pit fall issues related to dating and possibly marrying an unbeliever. I can think of quite a few as this had happened in my own family in extended realatives.
Me personally, I am waiting for that ONE faithful true "daughtor of Zion", The one God has for me! I am waiting exclusivly for ONLY her! Even though I have no idea who she is yet.

Missionary dating for me is a none issue, It aint happen to this old boy! NOOOPE! NO SIR! I am waiting for THE ONE Godsends

My husband and I both firmly believe that God brought us together. He was a firm in the faith RM, and me a non-religious girl on the wrong path. He brought such spirit with him that he imediately made me want to know more about him and what made him glow like that.
Any way, I began going to Church with him, was baptised within a few weeks (for me, not because of him - I think thats important), then we married 5 months later.
We were sealed in the Temple just over a year later and are happily married with a beautiful son and are very active in the Church.

I hope that I never become forgetful of the fact that God knew regardless of how my life was going that I was ready to come unto Him. And that I will reach out to others regardless of their situation to share the good news of the gospel with them.
Sometimes we treat non-religious people or those not of our denomination as if they were lepers with a contagious lack of belief/spirituality.

Follow your heart, follow the promptings of the spirit and your own intuition and you won't go far wrong, and if you do - it will be an opportunity for learning and growth.

The major pitfall is not accepting the other person and their belief system. Christians are taught to accept people for their differences. If you are trying to convert the other person, you just push them away most of the time. You don't have to convert everyone to your faith.

You paint that with a very broad brush. People with different beliefs and faiths can have productive relationships if there is mutual respect.

And how would I know this.. well I'm not a christian and I married one and we've been together 10 years (7.5 of them married).

To be on a mission is one thing, To fail your mission due to distraction provided in the form of temptation, and lies, and everything else the enemy tries to do, Is a complete miscarriage of the Mission's cause. You can bring them to Christ if you weigh your words, But you can't do it from the Bedroom. Best wishes.

Maybe that's the problem - you think the "non-believer" is not as good as you
