We boiled them and dyed them yesterday. They were put in a basket for decoration, but now that Easter is over, are they safe to make deviled eggs with them?

Eggs are relatively cheap. I would be on the safe side and just buy some freah ones. Although my dog ate a hardboiled egg that I cooked and dyed on Wednesday and she is fine. LOL. But please don't take the chance. Salmonella can be painful and even deadly.

Yes, they will be fine for about 10 days - that is the latest we have ever eaten them room temperature, but obviously you can put them in the fridge if you want to. Seems a shame though - they should be seen. My mother has some from 12 years ago - they are okay if you do not have any children or mountaineering cats!!

Latvians always dye their eggs at Easter (traditionally Good Friday in our family!) Put them as decorations and then on Sunday go around delivering them to friends or strangers. No-one has ever died of food poisoning - unless of course the egg was addled in the first place.

NO! Once eggs are hard-boiled, the shells no longer protect the insides from bacteria. While raw eggs can be stored at room temp for months, cooked eggs must be refrigerated.

Just pitch them.

I am pretty sure it is a 100% safe to eat a soft boiled egg.

Oh goodness NO!!! You have at max 2 hours before they begin to develop dangerous levels of bacteria. Food posioning is awful, not worth the $1.25 you paid for the eggs. If in doubt, throw it out!
