I Got a Bowflex And They Have An Exercise Specific to the Bowflesh but basicly anything involving weight and/or risistance combines with a sit up motion rotating left right every time you get up from the flat position is great

You answered correctly to your own question: a lot of cardio associated with a good diet is a huge part! You can't see the 6 pack underneath too much fat :-/ Don't forget to do sit-ups also, begin slow and add 10 for example each day if you want. You want to feel those muscles work but stop when the pain comes and don't forget to stretch! Same position as the regular sit-ups, lower your knees on one side and your arms, hand joined, on the other then switch after 30 sec. Keep working out and you'll acheive part of the results in a month.

abdominal training is easy...

use a full range of motion that is slow and controlled. hit the abs from as many angles as possible. 8-10 reps on weighted exercises and up to 50 reps on non-weighted exercises.

I have a A - Ab routine and a B - Ab routine and I alternate them every other ab training day so it usually comes out to hitting them 3x a week total.

* don't use weights to train the obliques
