Shaving cuts the ends blunt close to the skin so when it grows back it just seems worse. Shaving doesn't make hair grow back any thicker or darker.
Given your limitations, shaving is your best bet. Be sure to use a good razor & change the blade frequently.

Please don't try waxing! Apart from being expensive if you have sensitive skin you can end up with ingrown hairs which turn into nasty spots and all kinds of horrible rashes.
Shaving is the best option. Hair does not grow back thicker at all, that is a myth. Its just that you blunt the end of the hair so it appears coarser. Try shaving. If its for your bikini line, then don't give up if you come out in a big rash initially, keep with it, your skin with adjust after a couple of weeks and the rash with stop. Please believe me, I have tried every which way, and shaving is the best, quickest, cheapest way, but remember your skin may react for the first few shaves, but I promise it will settle down.

Depends which hair you want removing...I sometimes use an ephilator machine to remove my arm/leg hair...But i thread my eyebrows and upper lip...I use the hair removing cream which dont really work good on me on my private hair...I shave under my arms-which is ok and i not itch too bad...But dont use the ephlilator on your upper lip if you have spots or bad skin ther as it will hurt and create marks there..!

Threading is the new way of removing hair, but might not be available at all salons. its simply painless, yet still quick. I find waxing leg hair does not hurt as bad, so can be alot easier. Waxes can come in prepared wax strips which can be cheaper and alot easier to apply

Why don't you try a hair remover machine such as "Philips HP6461 Satinelle Massage Cordless Epilator?" It supposedly removes your hair from the roots and apparently as it does so it massages your skin so you don't feel the pain (at least not too much). Good luck with that.

the last i read from a reliable source, shaving does not change your hair growth. it only appears to be thicker because the hair was recently cut, so the ends are not pointed, they are blunt. I wouldn't recomend hair removing cream because it uses chemicals that are not easy for your liver to process. Shaving is my vote :)
