In the Old Testament, the Israelites show up with their big, bad GOD and claim that the land is their and they'll boot everyone out........but everyone else is still there and only the Israelites got booted out for an extended period of time?

Egypt....still there. Assyria.......still there........Philistines.......same word as Palestine, but in Greek.
Phoenicia....now called Lebanon....still there. The list goes on.

Weren't they all condemned to be utterly destroyed and never found again in the OT? Why yes, they were.......lol.

If you paid attention to the OT, you would have seen that God said that they obey Him, but that if they did not then the Israelites would be spread out amongst the nation

The old testament has a lot of genocides in it. Some carried out by god himself. I guess if you approve of genocide, you can probably find plenty of support in that book.

Actually, I read somewhere that the architect for the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem was a convert to Islam from Judaism. Most of the Israelites or Hebrews who stuck around from 2000 years ago in the area we call Palestine, or nearby in Assyria, Lebanon or Egypt, converted to Christianity and/or Islam. I guess if you believe that god gave the land to Abraham and his descendents, that would mean the Palestinians.

I think you are thinking about a much bigger area of land. Much of the stories take place on a smaller scale, and never do the Israelites completely destroy someone that is there now, most the time they either won or lost, and most of that was for the land that they are at right now. But the other groups have their stories too.

Maybe next time you can actually read all of the Old Testament instead of just the parts that you want to use to prove your theories.

Look at Isaiah for example. Through Isaiah God tells the Jewish people that his patience has run out. They have over and over again turned to Pagan Gods and practices. God still values his chosen people but he is no longer going to protect them. Isaiah (and later prophets) tell the Jews that they will go through periods of captivity and enslavement in order to be made right with God.

They committed the injustices against God - and God who is just dealt out a punishment but in the end did not leave their side. They have existed through some of the most horrible conditions and rabid attempts to exterminate them throughout history. Yet they, and their traditions have survived all this time - and for the most part remain unchanged.

Like I said - read the whole thing and learn the whole story.

When you mock something you don't understand you just look ignorant.

Maybe you should buy a map. Egypt isn't in Israel. Assyria (Syria) isn't in Israel. Lebanon isn't in Israel. Philistine is not another word for Palestinians. Different people group.

So to recap, the destroyed people groups were the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusites. Guess what? They haven't existed for thousands of years.

Their God is my God. He's not bad, but He is big. Learn your facts and you will sound smarter.

The Israelites didn't obey God.

Don't make fun. All those listed no longer exist or do not have their former glory. Only the jews managed to last through it all and they have been through worse and without a place to call home..

The Old Testiment is the Jewish Bible, not the Christian one. What is your point?
