This is the mentality we're dealing with here:

"Theists, especially christians, try to control and restrict us based on their views. If all christians stop crusading against science, culture, art, sex and sexuality, religious freedom and such, and stop telling everybody else they're going to be tortured throughout eternity unless they join you, I assure you that you won't encounter nearly as much hostility. "

I've been a christian all my life, have never once tried to convert anyone, because our job was to spread the word, and its done. I've never told anyone they're going to hell, I'm not the judge, I don't have that right, nor do I have that knowledge. This person is telling me that I crusade against science, art, sex and religious freedom! How ignorant is that? I love art, science saves and improves many lives, as for sex I think you should keep it zipped if you can't deal with the consequences, and I've never tried to take anyone's religious freedom from them. I could care less if gays marry, its not like not letting them is going to make them go straight. As for taking religious freedom, who exactly is doing that? Yeah, this person who doesn't want us to exist, doesn't want us to be allowed to vote because we just might vote against him, doesn't want us to have any freedom whatsoever, unless it coincides with his views, and we have to deal with these people's ignorant, narrow-minded view of christians. God isn't allowed in school or government anymore, the 10 commandments cannot be displayed in government, abortion is the norm for fools who can't be bothered taking their birth control pill, yet these people say we're taking their freedoms away! They hate us because we're against abortion? I hate to break it to you buddy, but there are a lot of atheists that aren't pro-abortion either. It's not only christians who are narrow-minded hypocrites and this poster is a prime example!

And lets not forget this braniac:

"If you're not trying to convince us, then why don't you keep it to yourself instead of posting it on the internet.

Didn't JC say close the door and pray by yourself in one of those short stories, Book of Marky Mark or something?"

Umm, this is the religion/spiritual section, we're suppose to post it here. If you don't want to hear it, please feel free to leave and go to any of the other sections of YA. You're basically telling us you can say anything you want in this section, but we shouldn't be allow to mention our religous beliefs in the religious section and you don't see the absurdity of that comment! Narrow minded hypocrite No. 2 in just this particular question.

So in answer to the question, our very existance is wrong to these people. We should all be exactly like them, we should vote the way they tell us to, feel the way they tell us to, basically that's the only way they'll stop coming here and bashing us for existing.

the perception you reported is new because at the same time as actual each man or woman believes it besides as different issues, you've self assurance it somewhat of different issues. that's an underlying idea which exists in maximum (note, maximum. There are exceptions) beliefs. (no longer religions because atheism counts right here). Your perception of praising what they did somewhat of praising them received't be what you truthfully meant to assert, because even if that's, and that i cured each sickness popular to guy, you would have self assurance that I shouldn't get some thing. notwithstanding, it will be a purely badly reported version of the perception that no longer some thing is inherently good, it extremely is somewhat actual. issues are in problem-free words good using issues they do. accordingly, if a faith is actual, and that's founder did particular good issues, does no longer praising them and following their teachings be perfect? also, all of us have self assurance in good. some human beings have self assurance that good potential giving to charity and praying- some human beings have self assurance that good potential beginning fireplace interior the Holocaust museum. asserting "have self assurance in good!" would not do any good for inaccurate persons because maximum inaccurate persons have self assurance that what they're doing is nice. yet there is not any longer some thing incorrect with the perception of yours- numerous the belongings you assert which extraordinary me out are maximum probable wording blunders. certain, 1000's of thousands of religious moves exist with this philosophy because each religious circulation believes that what they're doing is nice. It is sensible to me that you're attempting to eliminate the most concentration of religions and somewhat concentration on prevalent ideology, yet you ought to be conscious it more suitable powerful.
