"Men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil." That pretty much says it.

Most teens think that doing the opposite of their parents is what they want, it is a natural rebellion and a process of wanting to go your own way, and asserting your own independence. As you grow older then you will understand what being independent is really all about. Being independent means making decisions based on what you feel is right. Not because someone else does it or does not do it. When you do something for those reasons it is just another form of following. I asked some Goths once why they liked the Gothic aura and they said they wanted to be different. I mentioned that there is over a million kids in the US alone that claim to be Goths. 1 of a million does not seem different to me. More like a herd of Antelope

if you're truly atheist, you wouldn't believe in evil. if you believe there is no God, you'd believe there is no hell, therefore everything would be relative and up to the individual, with no real consequences. how could you say you're into "evil stuff" if you believe there is no God? i personally think you know the truth... that there is one God that will hold you responsible for your actions in eternity. but i think you, being an adventurous teenage boy, are fascinated and interested in the other side of things... evil things. since your parents are christians and you already know that side of life, you're curious about what it's like to be on the darker side of things. i went though something similar when i was your age... i liked to read a lot about ghosts and things like that. thankfully i didn't get far into it, because that stuff is as real as God is, and it can really mess up a person's life. i think you're searching... you probably grew up in church but never had a real relationship with Jesus Christ, so you're wondering if he's real... so you're looking to other things to see if they can fulfill you.
please let me know any feedback you have about my answer... email me and let me know what you think (even if you HATED my answer! :)

You probably like evil stuff so much because your parents are against it. It's like exploring what's been forbidden. It's funny how a reason why your spelling isn't perfect is because you're a guy. I like evil stuff too.

Pentagrams aren't "evil", you're not inherently "evil", nothing is inherently "evil", so don't worry about it. Everyone has their own opinions about things, as you'll learn, and not everyone agrees on any one opinion necessarily, so hang in there. Eventually you'll be old enough to hang out on your own. Whatever you study, just learn wisdom, altruism and compassion and you'll be on the right track.

You are a rebel. and subconsciously, you are rebeling against your parents religion by taking on a "dark" persona.
You probably don't like evil stuff, you just like getting your parents pissed off. Just like everyone else.

You want to rebel against your parents. This is normal and a part of growing up. In 20 years you will realized you'ved turned into them.

Perhaps you are seeking attention from your parents? Or, you are just being rebellious because you can.
