Since I can't tell if you guys have a self, or feel like you have a self, then maybe it's stupid for me to think I'm not special, since I do feel like I have a self.

Few people are special. That's kind of a bummer huh?
But, get this. Everyone is unique!
Every snowflake, every thumbprint, every animal,
tree, bud and flower.
All unique! It's the best way to be. People who think they are special are usually narcissistic and those not good at being special are in prison. But there are company CEO's and show biz people who think they are slightly special. They dont carry it too far.

In a not-inherently-existing sort of way... maybe. Clinging to "self" isn't exactly a good thing... altruism brings happiness faster, by bringing happiness to others first, you ultimately reap the benefits.

The illusions that self-awareness bring us hairless monkeys; enjoy it but don't get too caught up in it. Before you know it you might start inventing religions.
