You can go without water for up to three days if you are not getting it from another sort of liquid to help hydrate you so you don't get dehydrated. Especially if you are stuck in the desert with no water source and the extreme heat. A week seems extreme.

When someone is in a coma or has no chance for survival family can decide to cut off all food and drink, court approved of course and it takes about 2-3 weeks for someone to die, depending on the persons health and risk factors.

Depending on the situation and your body type, the human body can go without fluids for 3-5 days, but during that time you're going to suffer some pretty nasty side effects. After that you just die.

If water the only source of fluid then a little under a week. High altitude and you are in trouble on the first day.

I've always heard you could live without fluids for 3 days. However, I think it would depend on other factors such as how hot it is, your size, your general state of health, and of course if you had food, that often has fluids in it. But doing without fluids is dangerous!! Some people in critical situations have even drunk their urine to stay alive.

a week? maybe if you were drinking something else. i believe that the average limit for a normal, healthy person is 3 days...and 2%?? where the heck did that guy go to school?? it's 75% water
