I generally don't do such things. I answer questions and poke fun occasionally, but I've never felt the need to defend Asatru. If I ever do feel the need to do so, it will be because it is under direct attack/about to be illegalized. Then I will defend it as my kin before me did. I will practice it anyway and resist/refuse if someone attempts to detain or convert me.

When I first converted to paganism I did a lot of study so that I would know what I believed in this helped me because most of society is "Christian" or "acting Christian" so I had hard cold facts to back it up...but after awhile it gets so exhausting trying to explain to people why you believe what you believe and you just say okay and go on (unless it is something that is absolutely not true like paganism is evil or something) but if you do feel the need to defend read as much as you can and from different sources and you will have plenty to say!

I'm a Pagan. Druid to be exact. I don't defend the fact nor do I have to. I am what I am and really don't care what anybody thinks about me because of it. I don't wear it printed on a shirt but if someone asks, then I'll tell them. I don't harass others about their religious beliefs or make fun of them so I expect the same treatment. Last time I checked, it says "freedom of religion," not "freedom of religion only if you are ______." I think some people in this country have forgotten that.

Belief, by its very nature, cannot be defended because faith is something that has no proof. It is a waste of time and life energy. If, by defending, you really mean to convert, that is a different matter.
Each person must develop spirituality individually. What works for one may not work for another.

I pretty much mind my own business with my religion, which lets me avoid most debates in the first place. Of course, even when I'm minding my own business, I occasionally get a self-righteous schmuck who likes to throw accusations my way.
In recent years I've learned to ignore these people. Not because I want to be compassionate; quite the opposite! I find that most of the people who start crap with me are attention-starved and lacking fun in their own life, so they see me as a source of entertainment. If I join them in debate, then I've fulfilled their expectations of me being a "challenge" to them.
Most of the attacks on my religion take the form of pure lies about my religon. So defeinding myself is pretty easy. "How can you do 'A', if you do 'B' and 'C'?" "I don't do 'B' and 'C', you moron. If you actually took the time to do a minimal amount of reasearch on my religion, instead of believing everything you see in the movies, you'd know that."

I actually don't defend my beleifs. I share them. It's not up to me to convert anyone - it's up to me to love and show the love of Jesus. The Holy Spirit does the convicting, and free will on the recipients part might enable them to convert.... but it's not me at all.
I share personal stories, scripture if I'm asked, experiences, I will discuss theory if asked, and also - share the triumphs and difficulties of living the faith - again - if asked.

I don't,really; I will permit myself to respond to outright rudeness,if that's what you're talking about, but I don't feel obligated to "defend" my beliefs to - let us say - someone arrogantly demanding "proof". I kind of quietly go my own way, unless interfered with or provoked. I think it's the best approach.

If someone has a true interest I would share what I know of Jesus Christ, the gospel, and the bible. "how do you defend your faith" sounds like your discussing or arguing with someone whos only interest is to try to break down your faith. why would you defend it?

I do not defend my beliefs,I will not deny them, and if asked to deny Christ or die,I believe I would die.God does not need me to defend him, he is far wiser then I.I do not argue with people about my beliefs it is a waste of time, and energy.I will pray for people but will not fight.
