First off baptism is important but it is not essential to salvation. It simply symbolizes the death of the old man and the birth of the new man in Christ. (Jesus was baptized in the Jordan river which ALWAYS symbolizes death).
Second, don't steal your parents Bible. Ask them to use it, or go online and find a KJV Bible to read, or buy one if you have the money. Once you get a Bible read everyday. Though everything may not come easy to you at first and you may not get everything don't feel bad there are people that have been saved for years and still don't understand everything the Bible talks about. In fact we will never know everything about the Bible because it's about God and he is so great that there is never an end to learning about him.
Last, the most important part. If you have any doubts that you are saved, then your probably not. Being saved means asking God to forgive you of your sins, accepting that Jesus is the only Savior and that he died for you and rose three days later defeating death, hell, and the grave, but most importantly turning from your sin. In ourselves we cannot become better. We have to ask God to cleanse us of all sin and ungodliness. When we do the Bible says God will put within us a new heart. We will be changed and our sins will be removed as far is the east is from the west.
But it is VERY important that once we are saved and God forgives us that we depart from our sins. This is where your Bible will come in handy. It tells you all what God sees as sin and how we should live our life. But you have to remember that it's not all about following a set of rules. When you read your Bible pray and ask God to help you do the things you read about. For instance the scripture "put aside all filty communication". If you cussed before you got saved you have to ask God to take that out of your heart. Don't try within yourself to quit cussing just because the Bible says so. Ask God to cleanse you of it.
I hope I have made some differance and helped you instead of confusing you. I pray that you do get saved and live holy before God because though it may cost us much tribulation it is worth every bit of it. To be completely sold out to God and to be in his holy presence, to be filled with his sweet Holy Ghost is more than words can express. There is a joy and peace in it that is unexplainable.
If you need to talk about anything please feel free to write me and I will do my best to help you.
God Bless

You are searching, and that is a good start. You can read the Bible free online or many churches will give you one free. I would visit a church or have a talk with a Christian friend to learn more about becoming a Christian. I am praying for you.

Your getting there! as long as you believe in God, and that Jesus has risen from the dead, then your a Christian. But you need to baptize so that all the old ways of you are gone, and that your publicly known as a Christian. Also you need to follow what is words teaches. Being a Christian doesn't mean your perfect, it means your trying your best. Good luck!

To consider yourself a Christian, you have to follow Christ.
Accept Christ as Your Lord and Savior
Admit you are a sinner.
Ask Him to forgive you of your sins. (from your heart)
Invite Him into your heart and He will send the Holy Spirit.
I'm sure your parents will not mind letting you use their bible or buying you one.
The Holy Spirit will help guide you through your seeking God and reading and understanding the Bible.
You will experience God like you have never imagined.
It's never too late to get Baptized.

To be a Christian, you have to be a follower of Christ. Are you? If so, you are a Christian. Pretty easy, huh? You don't need to be baptized, you need to confess your sins and believe that Christ died in your place for all the wrong stuff you've done. Today, we celebrate he's alive sitting at the right hand of God.

A true Christian is a person who has put his or her faith and trust in the person of Jesus Christ and fact that He died on the cross as payment for sins and rose again on the third day to obtain victory over death and to give eternal life to all who believe in Him. John 1:12 tells us: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” A true Christian is indeed a child of God, a part of God’s true family, and one who has been given new life in Christ. The mark of a true Christian is love for others and obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4; 1 John 2:10).

You may have sentiments in favor of christianity, but you are not AT THIS MOMENT an official christian.
Its easy to obtain a Bible.
Do it, but more importantly get a good understanding of it.
