I do not want enyone to endup in hell. You are in hell only ifyou did not choose heaven.

In Ezekiel 33:11 God says; " I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked".

Tell me your thoughts. : )

I understand, because the bible clearly says that there is a hell. We as Christians want to prevent as many from that demise. But it is those who even deny the existence of hell who are probably threatened by it's existence that they would rather live oblivious and ignorant so that they don't have to live a righteous life.

I agree but unfortunately there are some Christians that try to use hell as a scare tactic to witness to others. It's really embarrassing. The simple truth is it exists and people will go there if they do not have faith in Christ. It really is heartbreaking when you think about it, all the people who are going to miss out, who are missing out now, because they don't know Jesus.

If you are a Christian,I would stick to the Testament of Christ, and skip the OT which is purely of historical interest and has nothing to offer in the way of spiritual guidance, unless you want to know how to organize a really good genocide campaign or the right way to dash out a baby's brains. As for hell,I have always felt it is clearly a non-corporeal condition,a spiritual state of mind you might say. Sure, folks can get there, slick as a whistle. But I wouldn't cite it as a negative motive to follow Christ's teachings, which are so sublime they have their own reward, even without the potential for an afterlife with positive content. Too much talk of hellfire & brimstone just sounds like an attempt to motivate people negatively instead of positively.

I think that only becomes important when you buy into the whole concept where there is only two choices; and if you limit yourself to such narrow thinking then that's what you get.

I don't believe in the existence of either. I think each of us can create a conceptual heaven or hell right here on earth if circumstances lend themselves to either. It makes me wonder if so many are so concerned with what happens after their physical body dies are they really living for what is in front of them in the here and now.

That's funny. A christian I work with, whose father is a Baptist minister, told me that even though she believes in heaven and hell, since I don't, I won't have to worry about them, I'll be going somewhere else.

If you guys can't even agree on that much, why should we believe you at all?

Ok, that good for you.

I believe this here is hell. Those souls that do not cross over go right back in-utero for another life here. They are truly separated from God.

You don't know.

Most of the souls god created will end up in Hell, writhing and screaming in agony forever.

Except for one thing: There is no Nazi god such as the one you believe in.

Ok, if you look around in the bible you will find that hell is the common grave of mankind, that Jesus said all will sleep in the grave until resurrected.

Sure. And do you understand that when we say hell is made up that it means we won't go there no matter what you believe?
