It;s cheaper partially because it's made with adjunct--cheap fermentables--that cost less than grain. EXamples of this are corn, rice and sugar.

Another reason is the cost of distributoion. Anheiser Busch has thousands on its distribution team. It cost more for the big guy to produce and distribute than the little guy.

I am pretty sure it is because they use less hops than beer and more sugar and corn and that pumps up the Alchohol content and lowers the price.
It is just beer with a ton of alchohol in it...made pretty much the same way.

It's cheaper because it's cheaper to make and manufactured with cheaper methods.

Good beer takes good hops, good barley and good water. Lager is aged at low temperatures and storing costs money.

Cheap wine. But the worst is the cheapest champagne - two glasses and you have one even before stopping!
