The best bet is a salvage yard. They are pretty much tied together with a computer system to locate parts from all over. Just tell them what you want and they should be able to locate it and have it shipped to you or they can hold it and you can go and get it.

Try a Ford dealer's parts department. You can get a crate engine. In fact, I think Edelbrock also has an engine program and you can get it already put together and with over 400hp.

Salvage yard. If the motor is still in the car, find one that was in a rear to rear-side collision. Tell them you want the entire motor + accessories including (if you need it) the wiring harness. If you are lucky maybe can find a COBRA motor.

where have you tried? Any decent salvage yard could find you one. If you don't know of one call your local ford dealers parts department and see if they could recomend one. If you want something with a warranty and you have a old one you could get a rebuilt one through Ford or Jasper engines.

the cheapest place is to go to a salvage yard and look for a low mileage vehicle and then have it demoed and then get that one.
