In general, license suspension are sent out via registered mail, and someone obviously received it.

If you moved recently, provide proof of that, and swear that you never received it, and hope they don't produce a proof of delivery with your signature on it.

Usually suspended license does not warrant an arrest. What ELSE did you do? You can't drive, so you'll have to take a cab home, but they usually would have let you call a friend or two to drive the car home or something.

You need to go to DMV or whatever and find out WHY you got a suspended license. Usually, it's for an unpaid ticket.

When you go to court the first time if you have not, ask for legal rep. and then you will be sent from your lawyer most likely a plea agreement, if you do jail time it is going to only be a few weekends, some extra service and a fine. You will lose your license now for up to a year you will have to carry an SR 22 on your insurance when you get your license back.. Now if you get pulled over again driving with no license, it will go up and you will get more punishment, you are more then likely just going to get probation tho.. and hopefully you had insurance when you got pulled over or the state is going to add 90 days onto the license suspension you will receive

Get ready for a big fine. Why was the license suspended? They don't typically notify you, which is stupid I agree. Unless the suspension was related to the same reason you were stopped this time, you should just have a fine. Please take care of it ALL. It will just snow ball on you and get bigger and bigger.

You're lying through your **** when you try saying this was your first offense. HELLO- what did you do to get that suspension in the first place?!? I also find it hard to believe you were never notified of the suspension. Bite the bullet and deal with it.

Probably not, unless there were aggravating factors, such as DUI, fleeing to avoid arrest, interference with a police officer, resisting arrest, etc.

Follow the rules and you'll not be suspended. It's not your first offense. It's the first time you were caught. Follow the rules.

Many criminal defense attorneys provide free consultation. May I suggest contacting a local attorney who provides such services?
