If a guy grows up without a father figure will he be more likely to turn out bad?

My family is going through some major drama right now. My 3 nephews are all growing up without their dad, and its not a pretty sight. We, aunts, uncles, grandmothers, etc and even their mom have taught them the proper way to live, treat animals, humans with respect , also sent them to religion classes. They are still a big mess. With the Internet to roam, and all the sex they see on TV they are growing up way to fast, its breaking my heart. Sorry to drag out my answer to your question, but Yes, I feel because of the above fore mentioned examples that they do turn out bad, suffer from depression, and may even end up in jail. Two of them already have been arrested and they are under 16!! Oh yeah, we had big brothers & mentors for them + counselors that come every week and still to no avail. I pray all the time, God knows whats in my heart. I hope that we get a miracle, and again, sorry it took me forever to answer your question:(

No not neccessarily. A guy can grow up without a father and still turn out to be a decent a guy.

depends on his upbrining. was he beaten or abused in any way? if yes, then he'll most likely turn into a bad person. if he's had a releativly ok upbrining, but no father all the same, he can go either way. whether or not u have a father or mother or whatever, doesn't generally matter. it's u as a person which makes you good or bad.

nah he wont turn out bad my friend grew up without a father and hes a great guy most girls would kill for a guy like him and i know that he would be a good dad when the time comes

I dont know what the statistics are but..my dads father died when he was 3 and he turned out to be a really great father.

no. i raised two sons on my own. their dad was no where around during the important years. they are just fine. have families of their own now.
