My sis steals. I keep my money in a security box, but Fri. night I left my purse at home with $5 and she didn't steal any money in it, but she broke into my security box and stole $120 from me. How can I prevent this from happening?

Hey, this is not acceptable. If you can not trust your sis, then the whole family got a problem. Discuss openly with all in the family, inclusive her. My own experience, I had people stealing money from me, in my house, and they were visitors, but nevertheless I thought they were friends. Friends and family don't do this. People who steals have no regard for others property. I really don't like thieves. I think they are one of the worst kind of criminals. She thinks, you are rich, and don't need the money and she has no comprehension of how damaging is what she is doing. Like I said before, open up to the family. Also remind her that it is a crime to steal. Now imagine what she is doing outside the home, how many other people she does that to. Be hard core with her. Don't allow her to go under the radar, will only get worst. Good luck. Also see what's happening with her, why does she needs this money? Treat the problem. Bye.

Tell your parents, and see what they say. If you want to prevent it then build yourself a box and put a big harden steel pad lock on it. It is a shame that she would steal from her own family. That is a big mistake on her part.
Is she doing drugs? Do you know the reason for the stealing?
does she steal from your parents too?

If she is stealing, you need to talk to your parents if you are at home & report it to the police. She needs to be stopped before she escalates her crimes & get help if she can. Next time, put your money into a bank, so it can draw interest & be protected, or invest in a stronger safe with a combiniation that you only know. Good luck!!

Get another security box without a key lock. The key locks are easy to get in to.

Put a lock on your bedroom door & wear the key around your neck. It's a pain, but it worked for me for 3 years.
Have you confronted her about it?

WHOOP her behind real good if your parents aren't willing to give any help in the matter.

Let her know that stealing from you will result in painful payback.
