Is it because road bikes are so light? On my mtb i stand up to accelerate quickly.

When you stand, you deliver more torque on the pedals, which is good for short, steep climbs. But you also spend a lot of energy doing that, so it's not efficient for longer distances.

Usually, I peddal seated on most of the climbs, except short ones which caught me on the wrong gear, which is when I stand up and finish the climb. I do mtb, btw...

Most road riders will stand up on the pedals quite frequently for acceleration. However, in road biking there are times when you get into a good rhythym and son't have to stand. Many time trialists for example do not stand at all except at starts and coming out of corners.

Standing on the pedals will help with acceleration on road bikes, too. Also on hill climbs.

I stand up on my road bike too, specially on those short steep climbs.

Lol, I'm sorry but you felt a KICK in your tummy??!? How old are you? I suggest you educate yourself before you start TTC. Anyways, since you got your period, you're probably not pregnant. Some women do have early bleeding though. If you're getting negative tests, then that's your period.
