This has happened multiple times, usually with terrible results. If Danica knows whats good for her she'll stay in IRL. If she goes to NASCAR she'll make a lot more money, for about 2 years until everybody realizes she can't hang with the rest of the drivers. Also NHRA runs in a straight line.

First off I would like to say that a woman can race just as good if not better then a man. Also these three woman in Indy car racing are very good at what they do, I tip my hat to them all. Also, Danica did test in a Nascar I believe sometime last year and later decided she didn't want to take that step into that series, something I wish she would have done. On a local level here at our dirt track they have had many woman out race the men in late model and mods and what not, just because you don't see a woman in Nascar right now don't mean there isnt anyone good enough out there to drive one, take some of these Nascar guys and stick them in the Indy cars and see if they can beat the woman, that could be fun to watch

There is a reason that men and women do not compete directly against each other in almost every form of pro sports. After 3 hours inside a 3400 lb stock car at 180 mph on a 98 degree day, do you really think a female can handle the situation as well as a male. Trust me, I am not being chauvinist. Many females can whip my butt during a 20 or 30 lap shootout, but after a few hours, their endurance is lower and cannot compete as well. Someday soon, I do believe someone will show up and prove me wrong on this, but it won't be for at least a few years. I also do not think it is fair to the women to have them compete head to head with men, but that's the way it is. Honestly, if Danica Patrick is the best female racer right now in America, do you really think she can hold off someone like Tony Stewart with two laps to go at a place like Richmond?

Not unless they drove a stock car at some point in their life before qualifying to be allowed to try and qualify for any Nextel Nascar race.
I am for more women getting into NN. But look around, many already are--even if they aren't behind the literal wheel of racing.
It's all media-fiscal-driven reports that get everyone's attention any way. soon enough, this will be the norm.

Don't think that his/her size makes any difference.Sure Danika Patrick is small, but so are MOST drivers.I walked by Jeff Gordon in the garage a few years back--what a SHRIMP.What is he 5'2 ? As far as Danika goes-she wouldn't be in the IRL if she wasn't a female. She's cute but she doesn't have the killer instinct needed to bang fenders all day.If she EVER wins a race in IRL (which I doubt she will),then talk about her in nascar.

in the nhra they only have to go 1/4 mile in a straight line nascar requires the drivers to go around in circles something only a stressed out blond could handle but a few woman drivers would make the racing more exiting

this is because NHRA requires little to no talent to do. The entire race is totally dependent on the car. The only reason the Force girls are in the race is because, duh, their dad is huge in nhra. But take a look at the women already in nascar. Shawna Robinson was in it a few years back and consistently ended last or close to last. Danica has yet to win anything in the irl, yet she gets some news on her all the time. Women will never succeed in Nascar because it requires talent.

I believe it would be great for racing. For the drivers that never finish in the top 20 week after week it may be a big wake up call for them. Half of those guys seem to be there just for a ride and i'm suprised they even get sponsers. You can bet they would race a little harder if they thought a girl was going to beat them. I'm all for it and hope the sponsers soon will be.

one of reasons woman do so well in nhra is because they have faster reaction times than men nascar takes a lot of strenth that a lot of woman dont have plus i think nascar is a little behind the times
