Well I met my brother's best friend at his place last week, and fell for him. I know that he did too, because when we all went out later he was around me throughout.

I would love to go out with him, but all my friends have been telling me to forget it because it would be too complicated.

my friend told me that it would be best to avoid it because a break up would destory their friendship.

Would it really destroy their friendship if we break up? Will my brother mind a lot? IS this wrong?

Yes, you feel that it would hurt your brother, go with that instinct. You will always have him for a brother, but romance has no guarantees of anything. Good luck!

I disagree with the first reply, I don’t think you should even think about having a relationship with your brothers friend as this will lead to complication in the future.

Let me give you an example, boys and young men like to talk with their mates of their conquests, what they did, how they did it, how many times, what she did and so on. You get the picture. I wouldn’t like to hear anyone speak of my sisters in that manner and would be offended even if I didn’t show it-
Please don’t go any further with this it’s a recipe for disaster, beside there are 6 Billion + people on this Planet I m sure you’ll find some

DON'T DO IT

Why dont you talk to your brother about this, he will know more than your friends

It would also show that you care about his feelings

Are you really really serious about this guy (you only met him once, are you getting carried away?)or is he just another guy who you like a bit-in another words if you dont see anything really serious and you think you may break up eventually maybe you shouldnt risk their friendship

But at the end of the day they are both adult and if they cant separate your realtionship with him and their friendship if it does go all wrong then they are not that brilliant friends.

go for it if you are really serious!

Star,
Their friendship should not be a problem. Make sure that if/when you break up any relationship that you do so in a manner that will not HURT either of you. GOD expects us to date and to be friends with lots of people. That does not mean that you have to purposely hurt people. Have a great evening and a wonderful weekend.
Thanks,
Eds

no noott at alll.. i think its better that ur brother knows him and knowws what kinda guy he is. if he says no then obviously he will say it 4 a reason,, maybe his friend isnt the kinda guy u really think he is..cuz ur brother wll know better than u. but yea u should definately tell ur brother dont keep secrets from him cause then it will cause more problems in their friendship if he finds out from someone else.

Why not leave it for a while and get to know the fella a bit better first. Its only been a week!
Confide in your brother, that you like his mate, and see what he says.

firstly im not sure how you can fall for someone that quick but only you know your feelings, when i think of dating my bros mates my skin crawls, i dont tink its right, and yes if u split your brother will back you, therefore their friendship will break down, and their trust i mean what kind of a mate gets with your sister!?!?!?!!?

The really easy way to sort this out is to ask your brother and respect the answer he gives you.

Your brother may be cool about it! Just ask him :-)

If your brother finds it too weird though, you may want to leave it, as what's more important - family or someone you've met once?
