I had a afterlife experience and don't try to tell me I was hallcinating. The spirit told me that It was not my time. I also experienced my life flash by from birth to present. That was the judgment. No condemnation. I wasn't a Christian either. There is no literal hell. But If you believe there is chances are you will see just that! Take that Christians. Stop trying to scare people about hell because you will probably end up there your own self! I am going to write a book about my experience. It has changed my own life. I saw the spirit of God as a Great light, no it was no angel of light as some of you would say. I did die and was brought back. Don't fear death people, just live in love. Don't create hell for yourself after you die. You can create hell how long you stay depends on you! The bible is speaking figuratively in most areas. IT is true but is not like any other book it must be read with a spiritual mindset. Fundamentalists christians will never agree

Dead for 2 whole hours huh? Interesting.. I wasn't aware that the human brain could go without oxygen for more than 4 minutes without damage.. I guess all those physiology classes and EMT courses I took were for naught.

The average dream, no matter how long it seems during the dream, rarely lasts more than 30 seconds. So you can feel like you were dead for 2 hours, but really you were dreaming about being dead for just a couple of seconds. And dreams are our visions of what has happened or influenced us, so everything that you saw was everyhting that you heard was going to happen throughout your life. If you were really dead for 2 hours (clinically proven and documented by the medical staff that was present at the time), you would have been on Oprah, the Today Show, Lettermen, and dozens of other talk shows by now. And you'd be rich as hell without having to write a fictional book about what you think happened.

Look, I was technically dead twice while under anesthesia for surgery. There were no bright lights, no spirits, no out of body experiences. I was just dead.

I believe in God and in Jesus. I don't believe they spoke to me while I was dead. They simply knew it wasn't my time to go, and I was brought back.

I woke up on a ventilator both times. I wondered why it was that I didn't die. I am, to this day questioning why, and still looking for the reason I was meant to live.

I believe when you die something wonderful happens and that you feel God's grace and love and peace.

I believe that death is a spiritual experience, but only if it is complete. Half way doesn't count.

I believe that our lives count for something, and that the way we act in the here and now will in fact, determine our path in the after life.

I suppose I could write a book, but then, the Bible pretty much says it all.

I agree with you. And I see that the experience has taught you that Love is the greatest law. God is Love and we are to love one another. Hell is just the absence of God for those who choose to be out of His Love.

The folks above who say that you can't be dead for 2 hours are correct. There is brain damage after a few minutes and a limited window in which to bring someone back. But I believe that your experience was real. The time is not. It might have seemed like 2 hours, but more like 2 minutes.

if u died for 2 hours how come u still have mental capacity above a sponge
if u limit the brain of oxygen even for 50 min there's 80% chance that person is going to be brain damaged maybe you where in coma and u just like to call it dead
oh and u really should inform yourself about hallucinating their are studies that show that if u lack the brain of oxygen or stimulate an area of the brain it will produce vivid images even religious not uncommon for some elliptical people to have such experiences

I have talked to a number of people who have had similar experiences. There is a web site called www.newcenturytv.com and one of the channels is after death experiences. I think you might find it interesting.
And wasn't it wonderful to know you are loved and watched over?
That the universe is not run by vengeance and eternal damnation? That we are all free to find our path and if we ask what that is we will be given help to find it?
Good luck with the book. g

You were dead for 2 hours??!!
The brain accumulates ischemic injury faster than any other organ. Without special treatment after circulation is restarted, full recovery of the brain after more than 5 minutes of clinical death at normal body temperature is rare. Usually brain damage or later brain death results after longer intervals of clinical death even if the heart is restarted and blood circulation is successfully restored.

The Bible speaks of hell, and I believe the Bible as the inspired Word of God.

That's amazing, considering brain death usually occurs within minutes of the heart stopping.
