There's many small patches over my right arm, but there is one spot in particular that stands out. It's about maybe 1.5 or 2 inches in diameter, and almost a perfect circle. I've seen images for skin diseases that cause white patches, but none of them look quite like mine. The images show irregular patches, but this one isn't irregular. I'm starting to get another small white spot on my other arm. What is it? And above all, what can cure it? *The round white patch started to show a bit in late september, and in about january was very noticable*

The culprit might be bleached flour - if you eat bleached flour products like white bread and ready made cakes you have developed a sensitivity to the bleach in the foods. Try eliminating bleached flour from your diet.

There is also a condition called tinea versicolor it is a fungus infection that commonly affects the skin of young people, especially the chest, back, and upper arms and legs. It doesn't usually affect the face, though. It is commonly treated with Selsun soap to reduce the appearance.

Good Luck!

If its perfectly circular and there are multilples of them its probably an infection of some sort quite possibly fungal. Seek medical attention to rule out the nastier possibilities.

you can't prevent them, i don't think. my grandfather has this. its skin cancer from tanning too much. for professional help, i'd advise going to a skin doctor. i'm not sure but i think you can get cream for it. :)
