Please follow the argument below:

1. God exists.
2. God is infinite
3. God is holy
4. God is righteous
5. Therefore, God is infinitely holy and just.

6. Furthermore, God speaks out of the character of what He is.
7. God spoke the Law
8. Therefore, the Law is in the heart of God and is a reflection of God's character since it is Holy and Good.

9. Furthermore, to break the Law of God is to offend Him since it is His Law that we break. This sin results in an infinite offense because God is infinite.
10. Furthermore, it is also right that God punish the Law breaker. To not punish the Law breaker (sinner) is to allow an offense against His holiness to be ignored.

11. God says that the person who sins must die (be punished). The wages of sin is death.
12. The sinner needs to escape the righteous judgment of God or he will face damnation.
13. But, no sinner can undo an infinite offense since to please God and make things right, he must obey the Law, which is the standard of God's righteous character.
14. But the sinner cannot fulfill the law because he is sinful (in the flesh).
15. Since the sinner cannot fulfill the law and satisfy God, it follows that only God can do this.

16. Jesus is God in flesh.
17. Jesus was also a man under the Law.
18. Jesus became sin for us and bore our sins in His body on the cross, thus fulfilling the Law.
19. Therefore, salvation is by grace through faith since it was not by our keeping the Law, but by Jesus, God in flesh, who fulfilled the Law and died in our place.

Some would say that He did forgive their sins when Jesus died on the cross.

However, others would say they never asked to be forgiven.

Adam and Eve committed the first sin and had no benchmark to know what was right / wrong. They did not know the consequences of their actions. Consequently, God's treatment of them seemed to be harsh.

You ask a very interesting question and one that I have often thought about over the years. No one has been able to answer it and make any sense by giving the typical spin on things.

Is English a second language to you?

Adam and Eve were forgiven. Being forgiven does not erase the consequence of an action. If you forgive your dog for peeing on the carpet you still have a mess to clean.

Secondly, Adam and Eve's sin was carried to all mankind through birth. The whole existence of man changed with that sin. Everyone is tainted. So to atone for the sin, they offered God sacrifices (yeah, Him being GOD and all)

God, being all wise, saw this would not last long and the hold sin had on mankind would cause him to perish. So, Jesus came and died, as a sacrifice for all mankind.

So His sacrifice covers all sin for all men willing to except it. The same way Adam's sin tainted man, Jesus' blood removes it.

As far all the first born, Jesus did not kill them, King Herod did. Jesus is not responsible for the sins of others, He is just willing to offer you freedom from them. You are still responsible for your actions. Hope this clears it up.

I don't know what bible your reading, but killing the firstborn was a plague brought down on egypt because the pharoh wouldn't free moses's people, not something jesus did the year he was born!

Maybe you should talk to someone at a church because I'm not even religious and I have a pretty good idea of how the jesus dying on the cross thing goes. Its probably hard for you to be sure because you aren't fully educated in the doctrine of whatever faith you are into. So going to a church of the religion you favor should give you a better idea.

Who said He didn't forgive their sins? The Bible tells us that He will forgive our sins if we repent. He didn't kill all the 1st born the year He was born....You need to read the Bible.

Mat 2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.

God did forgive Adam. If we repent we will also be forgiven. Christ died on the cross so that all man-kind might be saved, so that we could repent of our sins and once again return to the presence of our Lord.

God did forgive Adam and Eve for their transgression as recorded in Moses 6:53, which reads, " . . . And the Lord said unto Adam: Behold I have forgiven thee thy transgression in the Garden of Eden."

The Adam and Eve did not commit any sin. They had a lapse of letting Satan waylay them both . Both of them felt sorry. Both of them asked for His Forgiveness. Both were forgiven the lapse. A lapse, which is the destiny of every human That he/she does get waylaid by Satan. Some realise their folly and ask for forgiveness, and God in His Infinite Mercy may forgive all sinners. In the case of Adam and Eve both of them were exalted in honour before His Empyrium/Throne.

God's word is exceptionally clear...
"God is not willing that *ANY* should perish, but that all would come to repentance."

IF Adam and his wife's sin was not forgiven it would be because of one factor and one factor only, Thye never repented! If OUR sins are not forgiven its because of the very same reason we never repented! Its so simple really, we can either turn TO God or keep ourselves turned away. Its all up to us.

Because people today have no morals. So you can't go out and kill a guy and be all "GOD, please forgive me". Because you know wrong from right, yet people still do wrong. So stop sinning!
