I am going to answer this question in two parts. The first is this: Utah (71%), Idaho (27%), Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is what the majority of its residents are. Secondly, it is a religion, it is not Christian, but it is a religion. So, in my heart it is a false religion. That being said, the state of Utah, would be my pick for most "religious" state. Even their government seems to be infiltrated with that "religion".
Personally, my relationship with God, and the people that I see as believers, doesn't stop at borders, it transcends the world.

Twice in an evening!
Not your question, me calling on the same URL:
The map marks >75% religious adherence by county, and in terms of whole states it looks as though it's going to be close between the Mormons in Utah and the Lutherans in North Dakota:

The states with the highest crime rates and lowest literacy rates. I am not making this up, numerous studies have reported it.
