I prefer it straight. It's smooth and tastes great.

You can enjoy Patron - Straight, with a squeeze of lemon or lime, over ice, or in a traditional:
Margarita
Take a cocktail glass and rub the lime wedge around the rim, dip rim in the salt.

1 1/2 oz. Tequila
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
1 oz. Lime Juice or Sweet & Sour
Bar Salt

Garnish - Lime Squeeze

In a shaker with ice combine Tequila, Triple Sec, & Lime Juice. Shake well a strain into the cocktail glass.

On the Rocks - Fill a salted bucket glass with ice. Build this 'Maggie' right in the glass.

and in this unusual Martini
Fire MArtini
2 oz. Patron (usually gold but silver will work as well)
1/2 oz. Martini & Rossi Vermouth
Jalapeno Stuffed Olive

Combine Patron and martini & ross vermouth in a cocktail glass filled with ice and stir. Garnish with the jalapeno and stuffed olive.

There are purists who will say to only sip this as you would a fine brandy but you will find it a rave in your favorite Tequilla beverage. Cheers!

Patron Silver- Straight Up or with 7up.
Patron Gold - In a Margarita
Patron Repesado- In a Margarita
Patron Platinum- Straight Up.

Watch what type of Margarita you use, some are to bitter/ some to sweet.

It depends on what you are feeling and what you are up for.

We drink Patron straight with Sangrita as a chaser.
Sangrita is like a bloody mary mix but with more lime / lemon.
Both are in tall shot type glasses.
Salud!

Patron, and other fine liquors should be drank straight.
Otherwise buy the cheaper stuff if you are just going to cover up the taste anyways.

patron is one of the better tequilas. you should drink it straight, either up or chilled (your preference, I wouldn't chill it personally) and if you want a margarita or a tequila sunrise, use something that needs the mixer to mask the taste, like Sauza gold or Rio Grande.
