i love matt serra but I had GSP beating him down and knocking him out, total shocker, total surprise but I am happy. Good for Matt Serra, he deserved it and lets hope you can hold onto the title.

I was a bit surprised while I was watching it, but after a bit I examined what I saw. I saw that Serra is a full grown man, who went in that cage with little fear, he was throwing some bombs and I do not think GSP was ready for something like that. Serra went in their prepared to die last night and nows he's champ. We've rarely seen GSP get hit with that much and the last time he took a beating it was in the Penn win, and GSP had to go to the hospital after that fight. GSP is still a 24 year old kid, and will be a great fighter by the time he is Serra's age.

Never under estimate someone on a mission. When You have nothing to lose, winning is the only option. Sounds like some of You under estimated Matt Serra. He had nothing to lose, he didn't have the belt when he walked in, GSP did.

I wasn't expecting that either, but I couldn't count Matt Serra out at all. He's very under-rated. GSP is one of my favorite fighters, but he made a mistake and paid for it.

not really matt serra always had a punchers chance all he needed was the opportunity, which he did, and he took advantage of that.
and gsp didnt expect him to stand up w/him due 2 his reach and wrestleing background

Heck no! GSP should have won easily and he will if they have a rematch. Let's hope that Fedor loses too. I've got nothing against him but i kinda do want to see him lose.

That goes to show that anyone can lose a match on any given night.
