Hey, I'm planning on getting a wrist tattoo and i had the same concerns that you do. I've found watches that have a strap big enough to cover the tattoo and the watches are chunky but very girly and classy looking. I know a wrist tattoo is what could be classed as a very visible place BUT someone i knew had one and i didn't even notice they had one for months and they NEVER covered theirs up, i simply didn't notice it on the inner wrist nor had alot of people.
As long as it's not too big and you can cover it with a watch i don't see what the problem will be. I know it may sound silly but try getting a henna tattoo or draw the tattoo you want on your wrist. Go about your normal day and see how many people comment on what you have on your wrist. I think you'll be suprised with how many people won't even notice. How often do you really look at someones inner wrist??
Good Luck i say you go for it, i can't wait to get mine.

It's going to hurt. But I highly advise AGAINST getting a tattoo on your wrist, especially inner, because over time (and it won't be too long) it's going to crack. You wrist is one of the most moved area. Healing the tattoo itself is tedious and you're going to end up with a messed up tattoo because of the constant bending (you already have lines which will continue to develop over time). Most tattoo artists use a "two finger rule" where they strongly suggest you get an inner wrist tattoo two fingers (side by side like Scout's Honor) from where your wrist meets the bottom on your hand. The same goes for your inner elbow. Just think about that first. Good luck.

Match make up or concealer with your natural skin color for interviews or on the job hours. Health care professions still give a thumbs down to tats in many areas, but you can still be yourself and wear a wide bracelet or cuff or long sleeved uniform once you are hired. After hire, observe your co-workers and see how they do or do not conceal tats and keep www.aclu.com in mind if you are fired because of the tat, you can make a valid claim that it is either a tribal marking or a religious symbol in the event you are of Afro-American heritage.

Yes. If it's visible you have to live with the discrimination that comes with having a tattoo. While many people accept them others do not.
That is why I got my tattoo on my ribs. Sure it hurt, a lot actually, but it can be covered up for just about everything.

i wouldn't suggest getting a wrist tattoo or any visible tattoo unless you are completely sure of it. the fact is that there is still a social stigma against visible tattoos and you will be judged on that. i would be hesitant to get any visible tattoo unless you have given it a great amount of thought and if you already have tattoos. sometimes people get a tattoo only to realize that later they aren't so fond of it. just be sure. if it's right for you you'll just know.

Because of your future occupation I think it would be a concern, unfortunately. If you were in any other occupation, you could cover it with bracelets or a watch if you needed to.
Maybe think about where else you might like it.

Sorry, but Absolutely could
present a future problem.
Tattoos are more popular
but people have not changed
all that much. Especially those
doing the hiring.

Yeah it probably would be frowned upon, try the shoulder or somewhere less conspicuous.
