Well.. i know a way you can lose 16 pounds or more in like 2 weeks... run 1 mile every day after school.. every day drink 10 glasses of lemon water.. (lots and lots of lemons).. Eat 2 bananas and 1 piece of toast for breakfast (no butter).. for lunch eat 1 carrot and 1 tomato (with salt if desired and full carrots) and for dinner, eat 2 pieces of peanutbutter toast, 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and 2 pieces of lunchmeat.. remember to run and drink 10 glasses of lemon water.... this is also a detox diet as well as a weight loss... also if you want to try to lose more.. add small amounts of vinegar to whatever you can.. (vinegar curbs the appetite) tell me how it goes!

I don't think it would be possible to loose two pounds a day. But one to two pounds a week being healthy sounds unreasonable to me. I work out 1 1/2 hours a day 6 days a week, sometimes more than that if I decide to walk two or 3 miles after my work out. I burn an average of 500 to 750 calories per work out

I'm also on whats called a 123 diet that a nutritionist put me on. I eat 6 times a day!!!! Most of it includes healthy fruits and vegetables, small amounts of oils, and only a small amount of meat ( a piece about the size and thickness of the palm of my hand) with each meal. The fat is melting off like butter on a hot summers day. I'm loosing 1/2 to 1 pound per day and I feel very strong and healthy and have plenty of muscle starting to show through the fat!!!!

If you are hoping to lose 2lbs per day over an extended period of time then I'm afraid that the simple answer is you cannot. Unless you resort to surgery!

The reason you cannot lose 2lbs (of fat) per day is that your body can only metabolise around 150 calories per hour. That is why endurance athletes have to eat/drink carbohydrates to supplement their energy levels. For example a long distance runner/swimmer/cyclist will need to burn much more than 150 cals per hour to keep performing. If they do not consume extra calories then their performance will suddenly decline dramatically once they have used their stores of blood-sugars. Long-distance runners call that "hitting the wall".

A pound of fat is 3,500 calories - do the math. At 150 cals per hour it takes almost exactly 24 hours for your body to use a pound of fat.

Over short periods of time (up to a few days) you will lose more weight than 1lb per day because you are very likely to lose fluids and also your body can metabolise muscle protein to provide energy too. But both of those are relatively short-term factors.

It is probably not what you want to hear but the BEST advice is do not worry about the rate at which you lose weight. Your priorities should be to get fitter and eat healthier. Doing both of these things WILL make you lose weight safely and comfortably. And you will be much more likely to keep the weight off too.

It all depends on your age, height and weight. Losing 2 pounds a day is very dangerous and unhealthy. It is proven that it if you lose weight too rapidly, you are more likely to gain it back twice as fast and twice as much. I have had 6 children and have been on every diet possible. The best way to lose weight is to do cardio at least 3-5 days per week and watch your calorie intake depending on your age and size. You can email me at any time and I will definately guide you in the right direction.

I think it's hard to lose 2 lbs of fat per day, and you definitely don't wanna lose 2 lbs of water a day.

Do the following thing: start running everyday. I know it's hard for you to make yourself do that, but it's the only way you can succeed. The most important thing is that you keep yourself well hydrated, prior, during and after the workout.

You didn't tell me you ht/wt and if you had experience working out. Regarding the nutrition, cut on fast/junk food, and on sodas. Drink at least 70 oz of water a day, in addition to 30 oz you drink during your running. Hydration is of crucial importance to being in good shape, as well to being alive.

Always max yourself out when running, ie don't stop till your legs let you down. If you're being thirsty during the workout, it means you didn't hydrate yourself well.

Very soon you'll be content with your shape and health.
I hope I was helpful.

you cant really lose 2 pounds a day unless you go on some crazy stupid diet in which all the weight will come back on after youve stopped it!
losing weight = a lifelong commitment to better health!
eat lots of fruit and vegetables (especially dark leafed), and eat some carbs but not too many- (preferrably whole weat pasta and brown rice - not potatoes) and a sufficient ammount of protein. eat small portions of food, and make sure you eat with discipline, 3 meals a day, and dont eat crap between (you can eat fruit). aim for 30 mins of cardio exercise (running/skipping) a day, but make sure not to overdo yourself if your not used to doing exercise build yourself up gradually.
remember if you are looking at this as a quick fix rather than a life long commitment to good health you are being unhealthy! but wot im writing isnt good for you. you should just try eating NO carbs for a few weeks, the weight should come off really quickly (tho wen u start eating them again, will jump back on).
the key to a flat tum is to not eat at least 3 hours before going to sleep (definitely not after 8pm), and to try and do your cardio exercise on an empty stomach, as it burns the most fat doing this.

The easy way to shift weight is to starve and over exercise, but you're setting yourself up for all kinds of stuff long-term (like hormonal disorders and osteoporosis). The best way to lose belly fat is to do a high-fibre, lower (not no) fat diet and exercise - mix cardio (running, riding a bike, swimming, all so that you feel short of breath but can still hold a conversation) and resistance training (ab crunches, push-ups, weights in the gym). Oh, and don't overdo it otherwise you'll give yourself an injury

You could not eat or eat very little and run around your local high school's track for like 3-4 hours. But 2 lbs a day is alot of weight. You seriously will die after a few days trying to do that.

No, that is really not healthy. My advice on losing weight is to eat untill you are full, and exercise atleast 30 minutes a day. Don't overdo it. You are beautiful as you are.
