I had two jobs last year both in different states. What should I put in my 1040 form for wages? The total income I earned from both jobs?

Yes, the IRS taxes all wages that you earned no matter how many jobs you had and no matter how many states you worked in. In addition to the IRS, you might also be required to file state tax returns in both states you worked in, and if both states you worked in where not the state that you live in, you might have to file 3 state returns.

Yes, on your 1040, just add the two together.

If both states have a state income tax, you would file a state return in each place.
