I know this has been covered many times, but isn't there a toy section in yahoo answers for all these airsoft, bb gun and paintball questions? It gets a little tiresome weeding thru all the toy questions to find real questions about real firearms and hunting. I've been to the yahoo blog and forums requesting a section just for these toys, but so far no luck, I've also asked for a section dedicated just to firearms, so the gun related questions don't clog up the hunting section, so far no luck there either, is there ANYTHING we as a community can do to get yahoo to act on these requests? Other sections in yahoo answers have numerous subsections, but we hunters/shooters don't.

I thought I was the only one who had issues with this subject. Im glad to see im not. From the other answers and your efforts I see that offical help from Yahoo is not going to happen. That being the case maybe we could just answer their questions with "Wrong Section" and dirrect them to the right one ? Maybe Im being rude but I cant think of anything else. I have been tring to ignore them but it seems that some are answering which will just bring more I think.

You guys think that if we were to all send in request at the same time that it might get Yahoo to do something about it ? or will it cause them to shut the hunting section down completely lol ?

I don't mind having hunting and firearm questions mixed together, but all the airsoft questions get really annoying. Maybe if we all just started reporting them, Yahoo! may consider an airsoft category, or at least it could deter the airsofters from from the Hunting Section. Either way I'd be happy. But I would like to see a section dedicated to firearms next to the Hunting and Fishing sections. However I really doubt this will ever happen because guns are just not "politically correct" for a supposedly "family website".

wading through toy guns will eventually leave you with the other questions like i see all the time. Which is bigger, 9mm or .40 cal. come on
do the math.
Or how about the redundancy of where can i find .......
rather than type in gun parts and find it yourself.
Or....... hundreds of other questions daily , including how much is my gun worth....or which bullet is better ?
I have decided that if a person wants to learn anything or talk guns or hunting go to a good forum where there are actually people with knowledge and experience rather than here.
What may be worse than the questions asked here is the proliferation of crap answers thrown out there.

With you 100% Boker.

Yes, there is a "Games & Recreation" section and I will start directing the airsoft and paintball questions there.

Yahoo will never create a firearms section, sad to say, because these Leftist Californians that run Yahoo don't like guns or the people who own them and don't think anyone but the police should have them.

I know a little bit of both so ill answer either, but I agree with you, as I have told many paintballers that they shouldn't post in hunting. If you need a small petition or anything like that I would be willing.

i know that you can read so do me a favor and read the Warning on a paintball gun. It says "This is not a toy"... so how would it fit in the toy section. Why don't you spend less time trying to get a fire arm section, and more time trying to get a section for projectile sports? that way we both win we stay out of your forms and we don't have to listen to you guys complain.

With all the 'children' posting ?'s about 'airsoft', 'paintball', and their other TOYS, which have NOTHING to do with hunting and REAL firearms, one would not THINK so! ! !LMAO! ! !
