If you have nothing in your fridge or pantry, you're going to have to walk to the store anyways for other stuff to so you don't starve. Might as well get the soup ingredients too (i.e. tomato sauce, etc.). Even if you only had potatoes at home, you could make some potato soup.

It can be worth it. I used to do a 2 mile walk in freezing cold when my car was in the shop just to get groceries. Bundle up, and while you're walking think of it as exercise and look around and admire the beauty of the snow. It makes the walk go a lot quicker! Then you're back in a warm home and you'll have hot soup.

Phone the store maybe they will deliver..??
Why haven't you planed ahead.
Go to your sports store some day soon and buy some dehydrated dinners for back packers, hunters or fishermen.
You should always have some Mac N cheese.

Call for delivery! Or call someone to help you out with a ride to the store.

HOW badly do you WANT the soup? That would solve the "debate" for me.
