You didn't say if you have Cool Whip or powdered Dream Whip.
Cool Whip is premade, frozen whipped topping and would work.
Dream Whip is a powder you add to milk to make whipped cream and it would also work.
Nestle's Media Crema is cream, but you'd want to sweeten it with some sugar or powdered sugar probably.
Do you have a neighbor who cooks you could borrow from and pay her back when finances allow?
As for adding butter to milk, it's the cream removed from the top of milk that is made into butter. BUT... simply blending butter and milk won't give you back the right consistency without a thickening agent and whatever you use as a thickening agent is likely to make the result unpalatable.
If you don't have any of the 3 products I mentioned, I recommend borrowing from a friend.

Here's a substitution. Don't know how well it will work or if it will taste the same.
Heavy cream
heavy whipping cream
Equivalents
1 cup (2 cups whipped), 1/2 pint
Substitutions
For soups and sauces substitute equal amounts of evaporated milk (not for whipping or baking)
For use in recipes substitute a mixture of 1/4 cup of butter and 3/4 cup of milk (not for whipping).
I think you can just mix the grapes, pineapple and mrshmallows together for a nice, light fruit salad.

Nope, it won't work. You can't interchange them. How about a cream cheese frosting? You could also just make a simple frosting glaze. For that, just use powdered sugar, (about 3 cups) about 1 Tablespoon butter/Marg. and then add some milk, a tablespoon at a time. It'll work in a pinch.

no you cannot. You can only use heavy cream or heavy whipping cream. I would also suggest chilling your beaters and a clean metal bowl for about 5 minutes in the refrigerator before whipping.

No.
Mixing butter and milk will approximate the same fat content as whipping cream, but it will produce a VERY weird flavor. Butter and pineapple? Eww !

No, the consistency between milk and cream is pretty different (but, the fattier the milk, i.e., whole, the more likely it can be used as a substitute).

Try using coolwhip instead. Just leave out the mayo. and add some coconut. You can add some chopped walnuts too and then it is called Heavenly salad. Good luck on your dinner.

hello,
milk does not have enough fat to create whipped cream. (when you whip heavy cream it creates what is called an emulsion, same as it happens when you whip eggs and oil to make mayonnaise).
the only way you can make whipped cream is using either whipping cream, or heavy cream.

This would be a very large oops, I would go ahead and try to keep the list one shorter and make something else for the kids.
