It is quite common once a relationship has gotten serious to the point "i love you" is exchange to remember what it was like to be single and how much fun it is. It sounds like you are uncertain if you want to be in a relationship or single which is something only you can figure out. I have been with needy guys in the past who like to cling and don't you give you a lot of space to breathe which is what I believe you are trying to describe, it is no fun! Relationships need room to grow and he is not giving you any room. The best thing for any relationship is just good communication, try telling him what you are feeling, tell him you are going to be busy studying or helping out around the home and ask him for a break to give yourself time to decide what exactly it is what you want. At 14 & 16 you two are both very young and have a lot of life yet to experience, just enjoy your youth and not be so commited to one another. Best of luck!

You are too young to be in love. You don't even know who you are yet. If you don't believe me ask 10 other people who are in their twenties or older if they knew who they were and what they wanted out of life, themselves or a partner at age 14. Yes you are becoming a young adult, but don't short change yourself. The rest of your life you'll be grateful. Don't get serious with anyone at your age. Personally, I think you shouldn't even be dating until a couple more years of maturity, but to each their own. You should be having fun with lots of other young people at your age and not take life too seriously.
