i think she was waiting for me. I went away for 4 months and came back she had a new bf. I made the mistake of telling her i really had liked her. Ever since she has made herself very distant. It is possible she has feelings for both of us and is trying to sort her feelings out or did i spook her? Did i just ruin a 3 yr friendship?

she was probably jus shocked cause u were her friend for so long but jus try to talk to her about it and see how she really feels. but dont pressure her

Nope you didnt spook her. It kinda sounds like she's not interested. Her being distant is a good sign that she only wanted to be friends. Sorry.
