LORI,

IBUPROFEN IS AN ANTI-INFLAMMATORY MED. THIS COMBINED WITH WARM MOIST HEAT, LIKE HOT MOIST TOWELS WILL HELP BRING DOWN THE SWELLING.
ANY CODEINE MEDS FROM THE DOCTOR CAN CAUSE STOMACH UPSET.
ICE WON'T HELP NOW, IT'S USEFUL IN THE FIRST 24 HOURS AFTER SURGERY.
IBUPROFEN IS ALSO AVAILABLE IN LIQUID FORM.

Did they give you an antibiotic too? You may have to go back for a post -op appointment asap. As far as the other meds...you will feel sick if you don't take them with food so try your best to have something in your stomach when you take them. Make sure you take your meds though until you get to your dentist.

Liquids are good. Make sure you stay hydrated. Popsicles and yogurt and ice cream and Smoothies. Put an ice pack on the swollen parts for fifteen minutes then try to eat. Call your surgeon's office and tell them you are having issues. They may be able to get you another pain reliever.

When I got 4 wisdom teeth pulled , I ate baby food and jello. Sleep and time is all that can help.

I bet your mouth is swollen because your husband knocked your teeth out, mouthy woman.

Now get used to that liquid diet until you learn how to speak to men.
