How can you tell weather eggs or fresh or not?

Put in a bowl of water-if they float then it means that air has got into the egg and it is therefore not fresh.

Put them each in a cup of cold water. If they sit on the bottom they're good. If they float, they're bad. This doesn't apply if the eggs are hard-boiled.
