I tell you what if you are a person who belives in God then why be afraid. And besides why worry about the end of times. I honestly belive that God wants every person to live life to its fullest. But most importantly don't listen to the doom and gloomers. Let them preach the end times ****. If your worry about it then you are really wrecking your life. I mean you could sit there listen to al gore or some tele evangilst talk about how the world is going to end. Or you can just ignore them and be happy. I tell myself this. When god comes and takes me then that is the end of times. Until then i am going to be happy and live a fruitful life.

Well if those things get you thinking about eternity, then I guess no harm done, because that IS an important issue. But truthfully, the "end times" are not about OUR future today in the 21st Century. The Bible says the earth was established forever. (verses below). There was however, an imminent end upon the early church, and this was the end of the AGE they were living in. That's why there is so much imminence in New Testament letters (the last hour, about to come, in a little while, will not delay, at the door, soon, quickly, near, shortly, at hand, etc). Those time texts were inspired by the Holy Spirit of Truth! The trouble is, we read the NT letters as though they are addressed to us! We completely ignore and disregard how the direct audience of those letters would have understood those imminency statements 20 centuries ago! The end of the age came at the appointed time, in AD 70, at the destruction of the old 'heavens & earth' (Old Covenant Temple system of righteousness). Jesus' Appearing was linked to the destruction of Jerusalem, end of that age, and beginning of the New Covenant age existing apart from the Temple. Surely, we have had many wars, many atrocities, many persecutions, many horrors in the history of our world, and there's no reason to think the 21st Century is any worse. In fact, we can make it better simply by realizing the truth that we are NOT living in the ''last days'' since they pertained to Jesus' generation. It's time that leaders, teachers and preachers see this truth and preach it from the mountain tops. Preterism (Past Fulfillment) is the view of the end times that Jesus and New Testament authors taught, and we have missed it because we thought the "time of the end'' was the ''end of time.'' We also expected a physical new planet, and a flesh and blood Jesus sitting on a tangible throne, but Jesus' Kingdom is spiritual, not natural. Jesus' Kingdom is already here and there's no end to it! All these declare a never-ending planet, you and your Mom need to read these! Genesis 8:21-22, Psalms 78:69, 89:36-37, 93:1, 96:10, 104:5, 119:90, 148:4-6, Isaiah 45:17, Eccl. 1:4, Ephesians 3:21

We are out of the end times so to speak , and have entered into the end time and the Great Tribulation. We are in the "little while." We have less than 3 1/2 years left until the coming of the Lord.
Why be afraid? If you are one of His then you are sealed, protected. If you have not prepared for the 3rd day, 3rd time, the Barley Harvest, the last time, then you will be reckoned with.
The doors of the Threshing Floor are about to open and His Apostate church will be judged, for Judgement always begins in the House of the Lord.
By now you should know what side of the plumbline you stand on, you should know if you are Fristfruits, if you are of the Barley Harvest, if you are the five wise virgins with your lamps full of His oil. You should know if you are going to the Wedding. You should be drinking from His Rivers of Living Waters and eating the Meat of His Word. You should know His Secret.
Where do you find yourself standing and what shall you do?

"....end of time is near? "
each of our lives is finite on this earth, and
"nearness" can always be seen as an issue.
I think that your question revolves around a phenomenon which arises in the human nervous system every once in a while if the blood-chemistry bathing the limbic-system in the brain has the proper spectrum of protein/enzyme/nutrient components:
human perception brain-state of :
"something BIG is getting ready to happen"
is not a "rare thing" (the nervous system over evolutionary time makes use of this quirk .... see the small except from Jorge-Luis Borges below)
Music, states of happiness, mythology, faces belabored by time, certain twilights and certain places try to tell us something, or have said something we should not have missed, or are about to say something; this imminence of a revelation which does not occur is, perhaps, the aesthetic phenomenon.
-- Essay: "The Wall and the Books"
still, the experience sets up a "profound" state of mind and can add to our existence an appreciation of beauty and majesty.

No definitely not. I read a very convincing book by a woman who remembered her past lives but also had precognition of her future ones and she had "memories" well into the future. Apart from completely poisoning everything in the sea and most animals being unable to reproduce it sounded OK.
Also Nostradamos who was supposed to have predicted the end of the world in the year 2000 also made predictions for at least the next 1000 years so the end of the world can't be a serious as it sounds.

lmfao.... the end times... or the last day. Nature is working out things from past... at least 5000 yrs back... now he tells himself about the last days... to a human it means the present... we are in the last days.... the days nature is working out of.... when nature works there is an increase of temperature that is why there is global warming... he sent a great deal of destruction in space to avoid hurting the earth... that is how good he is.. the proof of this is the massive hurricane that hit saturn in 2005... hurricanes... tornadoes... and thunder and lightening storms are indications of imbalances in nature... from these days natrue will learn everything it needs to know to stay balanced eternally.... We are called the last day because tomorrow isn't here..... when tomorrow comes it will be the last day...

Not even Jesus himself knew when the end of times is. Read your bible there are signs that help show it we are near and I don't think we are. I hope we are near though, because I want to go home, this place is not my home. I feel so small in this world.
