It depends greatly on what, specifically, you want to study. Before you choose a university, be sure that the professors are published authors, whose works you ae able to read and analyze. Determine the availability of funding, teaching assistant and research assistant budgeting, if they offer a PhD fast-track, and what kinds of research facilities and funding they provide should you have to travel abroad or across country to particpate in scholarly endeavors.

Chicago is the greatest place to study. Loyola, Northwestern,
DePaul.

University of Chicago is the best. Awesome campus. Hard to get into though. So is Northwestern.

Good Luck.

Try any of the Jesuit universities, the Ivy League universities, and what area of philosophy do you want to study? Different universities have different strengths.
