I love all types of stock car racing, from my local dirt track to the Nextel Cup series.

i like all racing, even lawn mowers if thats all thats on, but i do have a few complaints about nascar
they manipulate the rules too much to affect the results, ie taking away a drivers #1 status for the last 10 races so they can have a close finish in the championship,
no other series gives drivers laps back, i know they do it to prevent racing back to the line for the yellow but its still wrong
and dont forget the phantom caution, call it debris on the track all you want, its an excuse to make the end of the race exciting, and it hurts the integrity of the sport
and technology, while you have irl switching to methanol, f1 is about to start reusing exhaust gasses, audi it winning alms with low sulpher diesal engins, all in the name of environmental pioneering, nascar just switched to unleaded fuel this year, you cant even buy a car with a carburetor any more
but thats what they race with in nascar,

If you hate NASCAR then that must mean you have friend who loves it and probably ignores you. Which mean you better start liking it or move on. It isn't for everyone but then neither is baseball,basketball,football,soccer,ETC....

There are going to be people who love or hate every sport in one way or another. And just a note to the indy fella above me, have you met every NASCAR fan? If not, then rethink what you say. Not all of us are redneck/drunken morons/classless/racist, etc. etc. Be careful what you say.

Reasons : its a waste of gasoline, the fans-- have no class/hillbillys/rednecks/rubes/ ,low class, drunk, overweight, unintelligent, obnoxious fans.
Terrible driving "skills".
high ticket prices
. Cars resemble a taxi cab without doors.
over hyped media exsposure.
no diversity of drivers-- they are all white guys from the mainly the southeast.
cars run on 25 year old technology.
fns are racist.
the races are as long as a pro football game.
too many similar race tracks.
drivers that cause accidents go unpennalized.
the races are boring.

I don't hate nascar-Its the fans that I can't stand(not all of them-just the mullet headed,gap toothed,moonshine swilling trailer trash).If I could go to a race,take my grandson and NOT have to shield him from the DRUNKEN IDIOTS,I would like it more.If you get rid of the IDIOTS there would only be 200 people there=I could get really good seats.

nascar is my favorite sport. i've been watching it for a long time. i like almost all of the drivers. but there are a few that i don't like, such as Matt Kenseth.
