Its like this, my friend is a 17 year old girl and is a heavy/chain smoker. I suggested she quit smoking (throw cigars), take nicotine gum and from there, slowly lessen the gum intake. I also told her to let us (her friends) keep her money and we'll just give it back when she's better (we are very very very trustworthy). Her parents know but she doesn't want to share it with them(i do mean it). She still wants to smoke a few sticks per day (15) but i'd rather not let her because she has little to no self control. Suggestions, anyone? Help. :(

You can't help someone that doesn't want the help.

Your friend isnt going to quit until SHE wants to. It doesnt matter what you say or want. If you are too overbearing, you are not going to help her. Also, 15 sticks a day isnt any better. The only number that matters is ZERO. If you are really concerned, get a few friends together and offer her some type of reward if she can go a month without smoking.

She has to be the one that wants to quit. The more you nag at her, the more she wants to smoke.

Tell her to read this, Tell her you're tired of her f#$%^%)( around.

You risk losing her, but if she dies of cancer, you lose her anyway.
